Privacy Policy
Eire Finder is operated by Argecor Solutions ("we", "us"). This page explains what the Eire Finder browser extension and the eirefinder.ie website collect, what we deliberately don't collect, and who else ever sees any of it. If anything here is unclear, email info@eirefinder.ie and we'll answer directly.
What the extension reads from a listing page
When you open a supported listing on Daft.ie, MyHome.ie or Property.ie, the extension reads the details already visible on that page — the address, asking price, BER rating, floor area and property type — so it can look up the matching official sale history. That information is sent, over HTTPS, to our own server to produce your report and to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to convert the address into map coordinates.
We do not store, log or retain any data extracted from Daft.ie, MyHome.ie or Property.ie listings on our servers. It passes through just long enough to answer your request, then it's discarded. We built it this way in part because we respect those platforms' own terms of use around their listing content, not just because it's good privacy practice.
What we do store
- Your email address, only if you subscribe — used solely to check your subscription status and process billing through Stripe. It is never used for marketing or shared with anyone beyond Stripe.
- A local cache in your own browser (via
chrome.storage.local), so re-opening a listing you already looked up doesn't repeat the same lookup. This lives on your device, not ours, and clears itself automatically after a short period — you can also clear it any time by removing the extension's data in Chrome's settings.
We do not run any analytics or tracking scripts inside the extension, and it never reads or acts on pages other than the three supported listing sites.
Who else sees data, and why
- Stripe — processes payment and subscription billing. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment details you give it; we only ever see your email and subscription status, never your card details.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — receives the address of the listing you're viewing, to resolve it to map coordinates, subject to their own usage policy.
- Railway — hosts the server that powers the extension. It processes requests in transit; we do not configure it to retain listing data either.
The website (eirefinder.ie)
The site itself is static pages with no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. If you email us, the same rules above apply. Subscribing takes you to a checkout page hosted on Stripe's own domain, which sets its own cookies to process the payment, entirely outside our control and governed by Stripe's privacy policy, not ours.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you — in practice, that's just your email address and subscription record. Email our DPO contact and we'll action it directly; there's no automated process to route through.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it ever changes, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top — we won't silently widen data collection beyond what's described here.
